1st Post- "Question"
Yesterday, in English One seminar , we had to write down a question that our teacher Mr. Williams asked about Romeo and Juliet. I wrote one down, but I ended up changing it to one I found. It says:
Discuss the relationships between parents and children in Romeo and Juliet. How do Romeo and Juliet interact with their parents? Are they rebellious, in the modern sense? How do their parents feel about them?
I think this question was very interesting, because it definetly goes with the way kids act today. The answer to the question is that Romeo and Juliet were not very close with their parents, and it seemed like they just ran off whenever they wanted. They were very rebellious. In today's time our way of rebelling against our parents is to sneak out or do something without permission, but their version of rebelling was to go about their business and get married to each other. Their parents probably see them as disrespectful and ridiculous.
This is just something I've been thinking about for the project.
