Today, I found out some information about Romeo Montague from
Romeo and Juliet. He is considered a protagonist. He is the son of Lord and Lady Montague, and he secretly rebels against his parents to fall in love and marry Juliet Capulet. He was forced into exile, by killing Juliet's cousin, Tybalt. Romeo comitts suicidie after thinking Juliet had died, when she really hadn't. His role to me is a type of flirty guy, who falls in love very easily, first with Rosaline, but rebounds to Juliet. It's hard for me to tell if he was really in love with Juliet. I undertnd he comitted suicide because of her, but that could mean anything. That could just mean he's troubled, or confused. Romeo is a very confusing character, and I'm going to look more into his role.
Juliet Capulet is also one of the protagonists in Romeo and Juliet. She is the daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet, and lives on the other side of Verona, away from Romeo Montague who she madly falls in love with. She gets married to him secretly, and hides it from her family. Then her family falsely tells Romeo that she is dead, Romeo goes to see her, and really does think that she died. Romeo buys poison from the Apothecary and drinks it, comitting suicide. Juliet wakes up realizing that Romeo is dead, and takes a knife to her own stomach dying with Romeo. They both lay dead, and when the families realize that Romeo and Juliet really did love each other, the feud ends.
